Acupuncture is part of Traditional Chinese Medicine therapy. It is a medical system that goes back thousands of years. Acupuncture uses sterile needles to pierce the skin at predetermined points on the body. The needles stimulate or sedate key areas of the body where it is needed to achieve optimal health outcomes. Acupuncture is part of the integrative treatment options for whole- person health addressing the full range of a person’s physical, emotional, spiritual, and environmental influences.

Constitutional Hydrotherapy (CH) involves the use of hot and cold towels with modern physiotherapy devices (low-volt electrical sine-wave stimulation). CH is used to enhance the immune response by increasing the delivery of oxygen, overall nutrition, and immune system elements to the major organs of the body.
It also helps promote detoxification by removing metabolic wastes, inflammatory substances, and environmental toxins-- enhancing venous and lymphatic flow away from major organs. The warming and relaxing aspects of the treatment help restore nervous equilibrium by relieving stress and enhancing a parasympathetic state, where greater healing can be achieved. Specific variations and combinations may be used to individualize the treatment for different patient needs.
The treatment itself lasts between 45-60 minutes. Additional time is taken in evaluation before and after treatment.
